This is my take on Einstein Bros Honey Almond Whipped Cream Cheese Shmear. It goes well on broiche bread or croissant toast!
8 oz whipped cream cheese
1/3 cup whole raw almonds, roasted
3 tbsp honey
1/8 tsp kosher salt
1/8 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- In a pan, heat on medium heat. Add the almonds. Stir frequently for 5-8 minutes, or until the almonds are fully roasted. Set aside to cool.
- In a medium size bowl, add whipped cream cheese, honey, kosher salt, and vanilla extract (optional). Whisk to combine.
- Once almonds has cooled, chop into small pieces. Add chopped almonds to the cream cheese mixture. Whisk to combine.
- Put cream cheese mixture in a airtight container and refrigerator until use.
Alternatively, you can roast your almonds in the oven. Roast in a 325 F degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
