Fish Sauce (Nuoc Mam)

Serves 4 Hungry Piggies

Add the sugar and fish sauce first, then water. This is the base of the fish sauce, so make sure it matches to the dish you are making or to your taste. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved. If you want to add variant ingredients, add lime first. Again, balance the taste between sweet, salty and sour before adding minced thai chili and garlic.

Base Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 tbps & 2 tsp of fish sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup of water

Variant Ingredients:

  • Lime
  • Thai chili
  • Minced garlic
